Salary: £18,000 – £20,000 p/a (DOE) depending on experience.

Our client is a leading manufacturer of sensory products for distributors across the UK. Sensory equipment is used in areas such as schools, care homes and hospitals, helping people with learning difficulties to engage and develop their sensory skills.

They are looking for a Production Operative to join their team. With plans to grow the business over the next few years, this is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to progress their career rapidly.

The Role

The client is looking for a reliable, strong team player who is experienced in manufacturing and genuinely loves what they do. You should be able to operate at a rapid pace of change and prepared to roll your sleeves up and make things happen!

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manufacturing sensory equipment.

. Will be expected to carry out the basic electronic assembly.

  • Packing sensory equipment for dispatch.
  • Filling out all documentation through our client’s Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Keeping a keen eye for detail to maintain high standards of quality, cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Working both as a team and on your own.
  • Carrying out physically demanding work.
  • Hitting weekly and monthly KPIs.
  • Complying with all GDPs (good distribution practices) and company rules, policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues at all times.

About You

This is a physically demanding role which require a keen eye for detail to maintain high standards of quality, cleanliness and hygiene. You will be a strong communicator and possess the ability to work as part of a team and on your own.

The Ideal Production Operative will have:

  • ideally previous production operative experience.
  • Experience working in a similar position with emphasis on sensory equipment.
  • Experience in hand solder and mechanical build.
  • Good level of IT skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A solid ‘team player’ attitude.
  • Being comfortable with hitting KPIs (targets).
  • Excellent ability to multitask and prioritise incoming workloads.
  • Ability to maintain a safe working environment with a solid awareness of safety in general.
  • Ability to comply with Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and company rules, policies and procedures.
